CIRCUS AND PARADE AGAINST MISSILE DEFENCE!
1PM, October 2, 2004, Minto Park (Corner of Elgin and Gilmour)

Tell Prime Minister Paul Martin to keep Canada out of the U.S. missile defence program!
Bring your banners, circus costumes, puppets, and your ideas for a better way to keep Canada safe. Bring friends and family, dogs, cats.

The Canadian Peace Alliance has called a Canada-wide Day of Action to say NO TO MISSILE DEFENCE on October 2, 2004. Two days before the house sits, cities across Canada will show Paul Martin that Canadians are watching, and we reject Missile Defence!

On October 2, 2004, come out to Minto Park at 1:00, for face painting, buskers, prop making. At 1:15, join the circus parade past the U.S. embassy and on to Parliament Hill for a 3 ring circus and to SAY NO TO MISSILE DEFENCE! The parade is expected to arrive at 2:15. There will be short speeches by Author Mel Hurtig, Bloc MP Claude Bachand, NDP MP Alexa McDonough, and Defence Critic Steven Staples and a 3-ring circus against MD. There will be street theatre, music, contests and games to address how crazy MD is and how wrong for Canada. The Raging Grannies, Radical Cheerleaders and many more will be on hand.

Bring your banners, circus costumes, puppets, and your ideas for a better way to keep Canada safe. Show your opinions of Bush's Missile Defence in a creative way - you can carry a hole-filled umbrella to demonstrate why you think BMD is crazy. Or better yet, create your own props. (More Ideas)
