Subject: Peacebuilders Without Borders: Challenging the post-9/11 Canada-US security agenda On October 3rd, respected US peace activists Medea Benjamin and Ann Wright were barred at the Canadian border due to the FBI 'watch list', a file deeming the activists a "security" threat on account of non-violent misdemeanors: trespassing on the White House lawn. On Thursday, October 25, they are coming to Ottawa, at the invitation of Canadian Parliamentarians, to speak as part of a panel of distinguished rights advocates about the threat Canada's border security policy poses to human rights in North America.
